Brief
Create an art gallery made entirely of three dimensional artwork mounted in gold gilt frames, designed to bring the studio walls alive and complement Lick Creative's new design studio refit. The main aim of the design project was to demonstrate the 3D structural design teams superior cardboard engineering skills, highlight the best new materials available and showcase different printing techniques. All achieved using high quality prototyping skills.
Execution
Choosing interesting themes, including cult films and iconic artforms, it was possible to experiment with combining a variety of materials to achieve different effects. The idea was to choose materials that are used regularly when designing POS and advertising collateral for our clients, but pushing their uses to the limits.
Reaction
The reaction from collegues within Lick Creative and the Delta Group has been fantastic, as it has further demonstrated the design skills within the business and provided some eyecatching 3D examples, which have been used as discussion points with visiting clients. Clients have already expressed interest in commissioning similar pieces.
