Weetabix is kick starting 2018 with a major national competition giving convenience retailers the opportunity to win a van.  Three Ford Transit Courier Base 1.5 ‘TDCi 75PS StgVI’ vans will be up for
grabs in the promotion which will run for six weeks; 1 January through to the end of February.

The cereal will activate the competition in Bestway, Landmark and Today’s Group wholesale depots.
The initiative will be supported by a trade advertising and PR campaign, with high impact PoS, including pallet wraps, FSDUs and full scale van displays, promoting the competition in cash and carry depots nationwide.

The competition will be run via a Text to Win mechanic. Retailers will need to purchase three cases of Weetabix cereal* then text their details to a dedicated competition hotline.  20 runners up will each receive £100 worth of Weetabix cereal products.

Brief
To design an impactful WOW display to promote the WIN A VAN WITH Weetabix
, campaign running in wholesale stores across the UK.  The display must house X2 1200mm X 1000mm Euro pallets of Weetabix 24 packs and allow them both to be shopped at the same time.  The vehicle that can be won through purchasing promotional packs is the
Ford Transit Courier Base 1.5 ‘TDCi 75PS StgVI’ and reference to the actual vehicle must be present in the display.

Execution
Using imagery of the Ford Tranisit Courier van and a Weetabix 24 pack helped to inspire a design, which features a 3D Ford Transit Courier van appearing to drive out of the end of a giant Weetabix 24 pack.  The structure of the giant Weetabix 24 pack needed to be strong enough to support the weight of a double sided header with lug on keys and
promotion information.

Reaction
The displays bold presence attracted a great deal of customer attention in-store and helped create awareness for the WIN A VAN WITH Weetabix promotion and in turn helped drive sales of the Weetabix 24 packs.
