Brief
Create a giant cardboard replica plane modelled on the  ‘Spirit of St. Louis’.  The plane will hang inside the B&Q store in Farnborough during the weekend of the air show, to advertise the re branding of Valspar paint, as used on the original ‘Spirit of St.Louis’.

Execution
A cardboard skeleton structure was created for the body, using double wall corrugated.  The wings were built from Re Board, with a wooden pole running through the cross supports, to form a strong structure to hang the plane.  Folding box board and mirror board were printed with the planes distinctive markings and used to clad the internal structure.  Black foam PVC formed the wheels and propeller.  Plumbing pipes sprayed black helped make the engine look more realistic.
